Welcome to the blog!

Hi everyone and welcome to the new Mustang Dining blog! We are excited to use this platform as another way to communicate with you all and keep you up to date on all things dining!

I want take this opportunity to introduce myself and give you a better understanding of who the person is behind the blog. My name is Brittni Drahota and I am the Marketing and Finance Manager for Chartwells at SMSU. I’ve been with Chartwells at SMSU since September 2017, where I started out as a retail supervisor. I received my Bachelor of Science in Sport Management with a minor in Marketing, International Business, and Dance from Minnesota State University- Mankato in 2014 and received my Masters of Science in Sport and Exercise Management with a Social Media Marketing emphasis from University College Dublin in 2016. I like to watch football and hockey (Go Vikings and Wild!), love to read, enjoy traveling, and I try to spend all the time that I can with my nephew.

But that’s enough about me! I’m sure you’re more interested in what this blog is going to be about! The Mustang Dining blog is here to cover a variety of topics relating to everything dining services. We’re going to give you dining hall hacks, information about the monthly superfood, recipes for you to try, event recaps, and more! If there is something you’d specifically like to see covered, just send us a message and we’ll do our best to make it a featured post!

If you ever have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to any of us here at Chartwells! We want your dining experience while at college to be a wonderful one and will do everything we can to assist you. To start the semester and new blog off, we want to give you something special! All you have to do is stop in to the dining services office (SC143) and tell us the word of the day, which is FOODIE. It’s as simple as that! But hurry, you only have until 4pm on August 26th to claim your prize!
