What first comes to mind when you think of fall? For me it’s apples, pumpkins, and football! But as we all know, apples are more than just a fall staple! Apples are low in
calories, a natural mouth freshener, and full of fiber and other health promoting nutrients! Research has also shown that apples are one of the healthiest foods that you can include in your daily diet so you can see why they are our superfood of the month!
One way to include apples in your diet is by making a delicious grilled brie with walnuts and apple sandwich (yum!). These are easy to make and can easily be done in a kitchen or kitchenette on the stove or they can be made in your dorm if you have a Panini press handy. This may sound like a strange combination to some, but the tartness of a crisp apple pairs perfectly with the tang of cheese.

If you aren’t the adventurous type and aren’t that interested in a grilled apple and cheese sandwich, don’t you worry! There are many other ways to include apples in your daily diet. A few different ways include adding diced apples to hot oatmeal, sliced apples with cinnamon as dessert, or just simply eat an apple.
Always remember, an apple a day keeps the doctor away! ;)
